Why are we giving away a THERMOMIX? We are all trying to be healthier and reduce the amount of chemicals in our diet. Thermomix promotes clean, raw, wholesome ways of eating.

Benefits of buying a Puratap and a Thermomix are:

  • Taste - Puratap tastes so good therefore, you drink more water! Food in the Themomix has a beautiful, natural flavour. You can taste the REAL flavours of the food.
  • Health - Less chemicals in your drinking water means peace of mind. Cooking in the Thermomix means you do not have to buy jars full of preservatives, artificial flavourings and excess salt and sugar.
  • Convenience - With Puratap stop running out of bottled water (or have to boil your rain water.) You save time cooking with a Thermomix! Press the button and walk away... You never burn your food because it's temperature controlled.
  • Saving Money - No more bottled water, cordials, soft drinks or juices. With a Thermomix you don't need to buy take away or go to a restaurant for "restaurant quality food" - you become a chef in your own home!

What are you having for dinner tonight?

To give you some inspiration, here are some of our favourite ways to use your Puratap water in your Thermomix!

1) Sous vide: You’ve seen it on Masterchef and probably thought you would never be able to try it at home… but it turns out you can! You don’t need a separate water bath apparatus, you can simply use your Thermomix. All you need to do is place your meat of choice with some herbs, spices, butter – or whatever you prefer – into a sealable, waterproof bag then fill your Thermomix with cold Puratap water to just below the 2 L mark (the food will need to be covered by water). Heat the water to 60 °C, then pop in your parcels and wait. Cooking times will vary depending on the size and type of meat, so have a look for timing suggestions online, or just experiment!

2) Perfect rice: Cooking rice is another one of those kitchen tasks that really should be simple but is simply not! But with your Thermomix, you can forget the hassle without needing to take up bench space with a rice cooker. Just add 300 g of pre-rinsed rice and 600 ml of Puratap water and cook for 15 min at 100 degrees on speed 4. Let it rest for 5 minutes after that then fluff up with a fork and enjoy!

3) Perfect pasta: If you like the idea of perfect rice, you might also want to use your Thermomix to get perfect pasta! Simply add 1.2 L of boiling Puratap water (or add cold water and heat it in the Thermomix), 200 g of dry pasta, and a pinch of salt. Set the Thermomix to 100 °C for 6 minutes on the soft and reverse setting. Check the pasta at 5 minutes – as cooking time may vary slightly – then drain, add your sauce, and dinner is done!

4) Coconut milk: Now this one may not be for the faint hearted, but it really is simple and if you’re having a dinner party it is a great way to impress your friends with the best curry they have ever tasted. To make your own coconut milk add 200 g of unsweetened flaked/desiccated coconut to 1.2 L of Puratap water. Cook at 100 °C for 8 minutes on speed 4, then blend on speed 8 for about 30 seconds (making sure to keep an eye on the lid!). Then, being careful of the heat, strain the mixture through a muslin cloth and you have perfect, homemade coconut milk. Make sure you tell your friends you made it yourself!

5) Steamed veggies: This might not sound as exciting as a sous vide, but chances are it is something you cook much more often – and we can always do with adding some more veggies in to our diets. To make your steamed veggies all you need to do is add 500 ml of Puratap water to the Thermomix bowl, then place your veggies into the steamer basket. Set the Thermomix to 100 °C, speed 2 for about 20 minutes. The timing will vary depending on what you are cooking so make sure you check as they cook for the perfect steam.
